Creating your Millionaire persona

Millionaires are not born, they are made. A 'Millionaire' or 'Rich Person' is not simply one with a lot of money. In reality, the persona of a Rich Person is different for us all. It is within us, and for some of us, it wants to get out.

A Rich Person or Millionaire is what we call the model of a Successful Person. For some,it may simply be the point where they are able to pay the bills without any worries whatsoever about layoffs, politics, etc. For others, it may be the ability to buy large buildings on a whim and spend their weekends on their very own private island. Whatever your version, it takes money, or rather the control of money.

Creating your Millionaire Persona is a fun exercise. In this exercise, you will project the image of yourself as you want it to be 10 years from now. This gives you plenty of time to make changes in yourself. Believe me, there are many changes that have to be made in order for you to become your Millionaire persona.

Think about this for a day or so, and write down as many aspects as possible for your future self. Include as many details as possible. How much money you make, what house you live in, what car you drive, what your education is like, how many kids you have, how many friends you have, what your friends do for a living, what organizations you are a part of, what your time schedule is like, and on and on. The sky is the limit when creating this persona, so take your time and have fun. Do not worry about getting it right all at once, it is a dynamic list. This means it will change often, you will drop some items and add others constantly.

Oh, I almost forgot, pick a new name. Think of it as a stage name, like movie stars, rock stars, TV new anchors, and radio DJs do. This will help separate your millionaire self into a solid unit. Pick a name you like, because you are going to have to switch into this mode more and more often to become your millionaire self over time.

Becoming a millionaire is not about simply changing one aspect of who you are, or purchasing the right business or idea. It is a complete lifestyle change. A change that you will have to make if you are to succeed.

If you are a normal person working in a 9-5 job, then that is who you are. The basic make-up of a multimillionaire is so far from you its not funny. You cannot become a millionaire overnight, even if you suddenly won the lottery. You would be broke again in a matter of months to a couple of years.

The fact that you want to become a millionaire is awesome. It shows that there is part of you that contains that make-up, it wants to get out and become you. Let it.
